I’ve always been cagy about posting small award wins, or the odd good review, etc, but have noticed that plenty of authors use bombastic terms, such as “bestseller” and “award-winning” for the most minor occurrences. But to be fair, they have indeed – and many are just as small and humble as my own (but we love ’em). But now it’s time I embrace this having had two “bestselling” series (they briefly struck the top 10 in the book charts – and one series (for a single day) was Nielson’s top 5 in the country. They’ve dominated the tables of Waterstones, and had critical praise from major newspapers and film reviews. So screw it, I’m going to shout for a bit. Apologies!
